Central AC air conditioning parts appliance parts americaCentral air conditioning systems are somewhat cryptic and mysterious to most people who use them. We rely on our central AC systems in New Jersey to keep us cool in the summer, but few know about what parts are actually inside their systems and how to maintain their system for optimal performance. To demystify your central air conditioning system, here is a list of the most important parts. Many of these parts can be found at Appliance Parts America, to make fixing your AC unit in New Jersey as easy and inexpensive as possible.
    1. Condensing Unit. A condensing unit is the most apparent part of your central AC system. This is the largest part that is usually located outside of your house. Inside that unit there are coils. There are also coils in other parts of your central AC system. For example, your AC unit will have an evaporator coil located inside your house in what is known as the plenum. There is also a condensation tube, but that is not located in the condensing unit but in a different part of your AC system, inside the house.
    2. Fan motors. Your AC will not work correctly if the fan motor is broken. Also referred to as a blower, the fan motor is one of the most important parts of the central AC system.
    3. Filter. One of the things you have the most control over in your AC unit is the filter. Ideally, you should be changing the filter in your central air conditioning system every few months to keep your air quality as healthy as possible. This is especially important when you have pets.
    4. Electrical components. Fuses, relays, capacitors, and other electrical components all make sure your AC unit keeps you and your family cool all summer long.
